The Beast is embarrassed by his humble gifts to his friends, but is cheered up when Hamilton and Maggie love his presents. Hamilton is upset that he hasn't grown since their last birthday so he is wearing big awkward shoes to make himself taller. Maggie tells him he may not be taller but he's certainly wiser.
